JumpStart NYC is a proven, three-month educational program to help out-of-work, mid-career professionals apply their knowledge, skills, and abilities in opportunities at small, entrepreneurial companies. JumpStart NYC is open to all unemployed professionals who have a minimum of a 4-year college degree and who reside in New York City.
Watch this segment about JumpStart NYC from the CBS Evening News.
One of Mayor Bloomberg’s initiatives to boost the New York City economy, JumpStart NYC has been successfully delivered ten times and has helped participants develop new skills, sample the environment at small entrepreneurial companies/non-profits, build new career networks, and explore project opportunities in New York’s entrepreneurial firms and arts organizations – including New York City's budding "green" sector – in many cases creating new career paths and opportunities.
JumpStartNYC was initiated by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). Its courses, events, and seminars were developed by The Levin Institute (SUNY), and there's no cost to you. How to Apply for the next JumpStart NYC? Applications are now available for JumpStart NYC 11.0 (July 16-20, 2012) and will be accepted until June 20, 2012.
For more information on our upcoming JumpStart NYC 11.0 session (July 16-20, 2012), please RSVP to attend an Information Session on May 22 or June 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the SUNY Global Center in mid-town. Click here to RSVP
