“Now, there’s no question that as we compete in the global marketplace, we’ve got to look out for our workers. But to look out for our workers, we’ve got to be able to compete in the global marketplace. - President Barack Obama "This generation is more aware of the effects of globalization and have taken them into stride." - Ragna Bell, Associate Partner at the IBM Institute for Business Value “Globalization is localization! Today’s successful businesses must be adaptable to local ways.” - Yue-Sai Kan, Chinese-American author/entrepreneur |
The Global Scholars Program is a new program offered by The Levin Institute to Brockport and Cortland students in SUNY’s Global Workforce Project (GWP). GWP is funded in part by a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant awarded with the goal of increasing global understanding. GWP has three main components: Globalization Modules integrated into Gen Ed courses; a new Mandarin Chinese video course; and the Global Scholars Program. For more info, contact Dr. Maryalice Mazzara, at The Levin Institute, Dr. Carl Davila / Dr. Christopher Price at Brockport, or Dr. William Skipper at Cortland.
