Turkey and the EU

Levin will be collaborating with The American Turkish Society and The London School of Economics and Political Science(LSE) for an event on Turkey and the European Union. The event will be held at Levin on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, 6:00- 8:00pm.

Professor Sevket Pamuk will present. He is Chair of Contemporary Turkish Studies at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a leading economic historian of the Ottoman Empire, the Middle East and modern Turkey. Ambassador Fernando M. Valenzuela, Head of
Delegation of the European Commission to the UN, will give opening remarks.

A reception will be held after the program.
